Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Axtiran Group ("we", "our", or "us") operates SparkQuest: Micro Adventures (the "App"), available for iPhone and Android. SparkQuest generates personalized short missions in your hometown, including discovery, creative, social, and meditative activities. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

The App processes the following information to provide accounts, missions, and progress:

  • Account data — email address or OAuth identifier, nickname, city, and locale.
  • Gameplay data — missions, mission progress, XP, achievements, social activity, and purchases.
  • Location data — approximate location used for GPS check-in missions only. The App does not track your location in the background or outside an active check-in.
  • Photos — images you submit as mission proof or use as a profile avatar. Submitted proof photos may be analyzed by AI for mission verification.
  • Notifications — push notification tokens and your notification preferences when you enable optional alerts for missions, streaks, or social features.

We do not use submitted photos for advertising. We do not sell your personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and maintain your account and profile.
  • Generate personalized missions based on your city, preferences, and progress.
  • Record progress, XP, achievements, purchases, and social features.
  • Verify GPS check-ins and photo proof when you actively submit them.
  • Send optional notifications you have enabled.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, GPS cheating, and harmful user-generated content.
  • Provide customer support and improve the App.

4. Location, Camera & Photos

Location access is required only for missions that use GPS check-in. We do not track you in the background. Camera and photo-library access is used when you choose to submit photo proof or set a profile avatar. Images submitted for mission verification may be processed by AI and stored as part of your mission record.

5. Storage & Service Providers

Account, mission, progress, purchase, social, location-check-in, and photo-verification data is stored and processed through the App's backend services. We use Supabase for authentication, database, and storage functions. Data may also be processed by service providers needed for AI mission generation and photo verification.

The App uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional push notifications. Apple and Google process purchases and subscriptions under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your payment card details.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can change your profile and notification preferences in the App. You can export your data as a JSON archive or permanently delete your account from Profile → Settings. You can also deny location, camera, photo-library, or notification permissions in your device settings, although some mission features may then be unavailable.

7. Children's Privacy

SparkQuest is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

8. Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account and gameplay data. We retain information while your account is active or as needed to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account, we permanently delete account data through the deletion flow, subject to limited records we may be required to retain by law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
