What does Scrini do?

Scrini finds the screenshots in your photo library, works out why you probably saved each one, and suggests a tag. You confirm the suggestion with one tap — or pick a different tag — and the screenshot lands in a gallery organized by meaning instead of by date.

Which tags does it come with?

Seven by default: Ideas, Learning, Cooking, Shopping, Places, Entertainment and To Do. You can add your own, rename them, reorder them or delete them in Settings → Manage Tags. Scrini always classifies against your current list, not a fixed one.

How do I make Scrini tag screenshots automatically?

iOS requires you to set this up yourself, in Shortcuts. Scrini walks you through it during onboarding, and you can revisit the steps in Settings → Screenshot Automation:

• Open the Shortcuts app and go to the Automation tab.
• Tap + to create a new personal automation.
• Choose Screenshot — it runs whenever a screenshot is saved.
• Select Run Immediately and turn off Notify When Run.
• Tap Next, search for Analyze New Screenshots and add it.
• Tap Done.

The automation is optional. Even without it, Scrini catches up on anything it hasn't seen every time you open the app.

Does Scrini move or copy my screenshots?

No. Your screenshots stay exactly where they are in Apple Photos. Scrini stores only a reference to each one, so it never duplicates your library or takes up extra storage for images.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. All analysis happens on your iPhone using Apple Vision and Apple Intelligence. There is no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

What if my iPhone doesn't support Apple Intelligence?

Scrini still works. It imports your screenshots, reads their text with Apple Vision, and lets you tag them manually. Only the automatic tag suggestion is unavailable, and the app tells you why.

Which devices are supported?

Scrini requires an iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Automatic tag suggestions additionally need an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled. There is no Android version.

Scrini isn't finding my screenshots. What should I check?

First check iOS Settings → Scrini → Photos. If it is set to Limited Access, Scrini only sees the items you picked — switch to Full Access so it can find new screenshots. Then pull to refresh on the Scrini home screen to trigger a fresh scan.

Scrini only imported my most recent screenshots. Why?

On first launch Scrini deliberately imports only your most recent screenshots rather than reprocessing an entire library of thousands. From that point on it picks up every new screenshot automatically.

The suggested tag was wrong. Can I change it?

Yes — tap Choose Another on the suggestion, or open any screenshot and use Change Tag. Once you pick a tag by hand, Scrini will never overwrite it later. AI suggestions are just suggestions and can be wrong.

What happens if I delete a tag that has screenshots in it?

Those screenshots become Unassigned and stay available in the app, so nothing is lost. Your original screenshots in Apple Photos are never touched.

How do I delete everything Scrini has stored?

Open Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete All App Data and confirm. This removes all tags, classifications, AI results, recognized text and settings, and returns Scrini to the first onboarding screen as if it were freshly installed. Your screenshots in Apple Photos are not deleted.

Do I need notifications turned on?

No. Notifications just let you confirm a suggested tag without opening the app. If they're off, pending suggestions wait for you on the Scrini home screen instead.

I found a bug or the app crashed. What should I do?

Please email scrini@axtiran.group with a short description of what happened, your iPhone model and your iOS version. We'll investigate and push a fix as quickly as possible.
